SSL error on Email and Creating Email

First ask the client for their password and try logging in to their webmail. This is to make sure that the client is using the correct password for setting up an Email.

Note: To access webmail, you can just type "domain/webmail" and it will direct you to the webmail screen then type in the password that was given by the client.

Check the incoming and outgoing server settings are correct.

With SSL:

IMAP: 993

POP3: 995

Incoming Server: Server#.4goodhosting.com

Outgoing Server: Server#.4goodhosting.com

SMTP: 465

Note: Server number depends on their service that they are using. You can verify the server number by going to their products services in billing.

Without SSL:

IMAP: 143

POP3: 110

Incoming Server: mail.domain.com

Outgoing Server: mail.domain.com

SMTP: 587 or 27

Setting Up Email on Iphone

1) Look for your Settings icon. Click on it to start.
2) Look for the icon labeled Mail,Contacts, Calendars.
3) Next, click on Add Account.
4) Choose Other in order to add your Hosting email account.
5) You will see yet another option that asks you to Add Mail Account. Click on this option to proceed.
6) fill in the information for your email account. This includes your name, your email address, password and a description of the mail account.
7) The next screen includes the settings for both the incoming and outgoing mail server. You can use below settings

Incoming and outgoing mail server: (depends on the clients server#)

With SSL:

IMAP: 993
POP3: 995
SMTP: 465
Incoming Server: Server#.4goodhosting.com
Outgoing Server: Server#.4goodhosting.com

Without SSL:

IMAP: 143
POP3: 110
SMTP: 587 or 27
Incoming Server: mail.domain.com
Outgoing Server: mail.domain.com

8) After you fill in each section for the incoming and outgoing server, your phone will attempt to verify the server. If you see the warning "Cannot verify server identity", please click on Details. You will then see the details for the certificate in use. Make sure to select to trust the certificate. The certificate is a self-signed certificate used by email server. The certificate information should show that it is coming from your mail server. If it is, then click the options to trust the certificate and then your iPhone will be able to confirm the server.

9) You will briefly see a screen checking off everything for the email account followed by a screen which has sliders for enabling Mail and Notes. At the top of the screen will be options to Cancel or Save. Click on Save to proceed with adding your email account.

Note: The incoming server, outgoing servers and ports are the same set up either they are going to use SSL or non SSL on any devices ( android, PC, or laptop ) that they want their email to be set up with.

Setting up Email on Android Device

1) Navigate to Settings
2) Tap Add account
3) Tap Personal (IMAP/POP) and then Next
4) Enter your full email address and tap Next.
5) Choose the type of email account you will be using.
6) Enter the password for your email address and tap Next.
%%*%% POP3 will download the emails from the server and store them on your phone.

Incoming Server Settings

3) Once the settings are entered, tap Next.

1) Select Require Sign-In.
2) Username: Enter your full email address
3) Password: Enter the password for your email account

Without SSL:

4) Once the settings are entered, tap Next.

Account Options
Email Checking Frequency: Set how often you would like your device to check for new emails.
Note: The more regularly your device checks for new emails the more it drains your battery.
Notify me when email arrives : Leave this checked if you would like to be notified of new emails.
Sync email from this account: Leave this checked if you want email to be checked automatically.

Tap Next. And it should be done.

Domain Privacy

What we will do is manually update your name and address record with 4GoodHosting's domain privacy message, and modify the settings further so nobody will see your information on the public "whois" domain information websites.

4goodhosting's domain privacy is free for .ca domain only.

$5 for other domains ( .com, .org, .net, .etc) and is applied for each domain that the client wants privacy.

Ex: If client has 2 domains wants to be private the amount is $10. If 3 domains to be private that would be $15.

Adding Domain Privacy:

Open the account in billing >> domains>> tick the ID Protection box>> save. Create a manual invoice of $5 with tax for the first time that you add it.

FYI: Always check the Recurring amount in billing (domain tab) if the $5 has been added, if not, add it manually.

Updating Credit Card on Client area

To update your Credit Card # you must log in at https:4goodhosting.com/billing2/clientarea.php enter your email and your password. If you forget your password click login and then use the forgot password link and have us email you the password.


Once in the billing control panel click on the "Billing" menu then "Manage Credit Card" then you can modify your credit card details; afterwards simply click "Save Changes".

Unblocking IP through the client area

Login to the client area >> Services >> My Services >> Click on the listed hosting account >> At the left side, you will see an option IP Unban Center>> Cick the IP unban center >> it will go to a different page where you can see a domain. And at the far right of the domain you will see a "lock" icon. Click the lock icon and it will give you an option to put in an IP address >> Enter the IP address then click unban.

Changing Email address on the client area

To update contact information simply login at https:4goodhosting.com/billing2/clientarea.php. If you forgot the password click the forgot password link and have our system email you your password. Next to where your Account Information is printed on the Home client portal screen>> click on the Update Your Details link. After changing the details, simply click "Save Changes".

How to Disable Auto Renew of Domain

Log into your client area and

checkbox to disable the auto-renew feature. You can login through this

Proceed to: Portal Home >> Client Area >> My Domains

There you will see all your domains. Click on the edit icon to the right. Click

on the "Disable Auto Renew Button”.

For WHCMS:

Domains >> Click the disable autorenew box >> Save.

FYI: As much as possible, we will have the client do it on the client area.

Cancellation of Account

We can cancel the account through the billing tool (WHCMS).

Hosting Cancellation:

First you need to open the correct account >> Select products and services tab>> Select the correct service that needs to be canceled >> Select terminate on the lower tab inline with module commands.

FYI: We can __ONLY__ cancel a hosting account if the client will send a request for cancellation through a ticket and needs the account to be validated.
If the ticket is validated, you will see the list at the bottom of their email includes username, password and domain.

Domain Cancellation:

First need to open the correct account >> Select the domains tab >> Select the correct domain that needs to be canceled >> Change the status to cancelled >> Save changes on the bottom portion of the tool.

FYI: We can cancel the domain only without any validation.

Sample Verification Script if Client wish to Cancel

For validation purposes, to protect our customer's accounts from spoofed or otherwise unauthorized emails we require one of the three methods listed below to verify your cancellation request:

1) You can log into your customer portal and submit the request through an internally generated billing ticket. You can request your client area password to be resent if it was forgotten.

2) You can email us your hosting account username and password as a check.


3)Or you can include the last 4 digits of your credit card on file (if not a paypal paid account).


Note: No need for verification if they want to cancel the domain only.

Refunds

Refunds are applicable for all services except for Domain. If client was charge the same day as they informed us, we can process with full refund other than that there will be a restocking charge of 5% of the total refundable amount. For any refunds, before processing it make sure to inform Mike.

We also offer refunds in the first 30 days of service. We don't offer partial refunds on hosting fees paid this is why annual accounts receive a discounted price.

How to order SSL

First is you need to acces the customer's account and go to the summary page.

Click the option add new order on right portion of billing. Select products and services (choose what SSL the client wants) >> Domain (choose the domain that the client want the SSL to be installed) >> Billing cycle (always annually) >> Quantity (1) >> Submit order.

Once the order has been submitted. Check the invoice of the client and capture the payment if they have a credit card on file. Once payment has been made, Inform L3 support team to proceed with the installation.

FYI: Don't offer Auto SSL for sb2server as it's not compatible.

Domain Registration

Domain registration is free for quarterly and longer billing. Domain registration is free for the first year ONLY if they registered with Business or Advance hosting package.

FYI: After the first year, they will be charged of the domain renewal. If they registered with Personal hosting, the domain registration is charged.

EPP CODE

To get authorization code(EPP code), you need to log into your account at https:4goodhosting.com/billing2/clientarea.php If you forget password click the forgot the password link and have our system email you your password.

Then you click "Domains" on menu bar then click the "My Domains" selection. Click the "wrench" icon on the right side of the domain you would like to transfer. Click "Manage Domain" . This will bring up a page with more details about your domain. Under the "Management Tools" tab you can get your EPP authorization code.

Creating an Invoice

Open the account in Billing tool (WHCMS) and go to invoices tab.

1. Select and click the create invoice tab and type in the in the name of the invoice that you want to create and put in the price ( always check the taxes box).

2. Save the Invoice created.

3. Select and click the " publish and send email" tab.

4. If there is a Credit Card on file, you can capture payment.

FYI: If there is a card on file, we can ask the client if we can use it to capture the payment for the invoice created.

Electronic Transfer payment or Interac

Client can send to sales@4goodhosting.com and put a password as "hosting" and include your invoice number in the notes.

Upgrading Hosting Service

Open client account >> Products and Services tab >> Upgrade/Downgrade button >> Select the hosting that the client wants to upgrade with >> Create Order >> Capture payment from the invoice and complete the order.

FYI: Change the recurring amount to the regular price then save the changes. You can find the hosting package on the 4goodhosting website ( https:4goodhosting.com/linux-web-hosting).

Reminder: Go to the account summary and click the view order then accept order (to complete the order).

How to Register an Account Online

First go to Support >> Account >> Register. And that's it.

FYI: If you walk through the customer on setting up an account, you need to make sure that the email address is not yet registered with us.

Adding Contacts/Sub Accounts

Client Area

First you need to log in to Client Area >> Once on the home page select Update >> Select Contacts/ Sub account >> Fill in the Information in the blank boxes >> Save changes.

WHCMS (Billing Tool)

Open the correct account >> Click the contacts tab >> Fill in the Information in the blank boxes >> Save Changes.

FYI: They can also choose the emails that the contact can receive or the access that the contact can do on the account. All that you need to do is put a check on the emapty boxes under " Email notification " and "Permissions".

Changing the Domain name

This scenario happens when client request to change the domain name. First they need to register a new domain name and the charge applies which is $14.95.

They can also do it in the client area. First they need to log in to their client area >>Domains>>Register new domain>>then put the new domain name in the empty box and click continue until the process completes.

You can also process it using the billing tool (WHMCS). First you need to accss the correct account>>Summary Tab>> Click the " add new order" on the right portion of the page>>Domain Registration>>select option "registration" >>submit order. Then capture the payment if they have the card on file.

FYI: If there is a hosting service, we'll inform the support team to switch the service to the newly registered domain name.

Privacy Protection for Corporations Response:

"Thanks for your inquiry if you register a .ca domain as an individual then you can opt in for privacy protection. For corporations unfortunately it's not available. Please let us know if you have further questions."

Domain Whois information Update:

For .ca domain information update the price is $25. Other domains except for .ca are free of charge.

Domain Backup:

We do keep 14 days of daily backup and one monthly backup to our servers. We do not disclose the details of the contents to the customer. You can always contact us to get the backups and we'll restore the files for you at a charge 50$ +tax.
